A Fine Of 500 Riyals for Failing To Issue The Worker With A "Resident ID" After 90 Days Of Entry

The fine for failing to issue a resident ID (IQAMA) to workers within 90 days of entry has been revealed by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat). Moreover, a medical exam is necessary for the beneficiary to be able to finish the process before the worker is given a "Muqeem ID" through the "Absher" or "Muqeem" platform by the employer. The business owner can electronically issue and renew a "Muqeem ID" for those under his sponsorship on a quarterly or semi-annual basis via the "Absher Business" or "Muqeem" platforms.

Police Clearance From India Is Required For Employment In Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Consulate in Mumbai has instructed travel agents to submit police clearance certificates for any work visa application. The new rule went into effect on August 2022. It is worth noting that work on this rule had already begun at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Embassy in New Delhi.

The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization launch the "Standard Specification for Social Responsibility - Companies Guide" in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development under the slogan "The Guide is The Beginning of Change." This initiative starts with establishing the business sector in the social field and enhancing the quality of services and sound.

Mudad Announces Their Partnership With Palm.Hr

The Mudad platform announced a partnership with palm.hr, a fully automated human resources management system. In a tweet on their Twitter page, Mudad explained that this partnership aims to make it possible for their beneficiaries to use the platform's direct transfer and wage protection system services.

MHRSD Start Implementing Localization Of Entertainment Cities

His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi issued a decision to localize independent and seasonal entertainment cities and family entertainment centres by 70%, and to localize entertainment cities within closed commercial complexes by 100%, as of September 23, 2022.

The most prominent professions targeted in the decision are: branch manager, department manager, department supervisor, assistant branch manager, accounting fund supervisor, customer service, sales specialist, and marketing specialist, and operators of quality games that require operators with specialized competencies and certificates.

MHRSD Allows Job Transfer Of Foreign Workers In All Private Firms

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the implementation of the second phase of amending the mechanism for the job transition of the worker to all private sector establishments after the completion of the first phase, which allowed the amendment of the transition mechanism for individual establishments only.

The second phase came as an extension of the development of the ministry's policies and services in line with the objectives of the labour market strategy, raising its efficiency and the level of labour rights.
